JAMMU, FEBRUARY 12 – Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh today informed the House that augmentation has already been undertaken for two out of three Receiving Stations primarily feeding the areas of Wachi Constituency, besides two additional have been sanctioned to overcome the power crisis in the area. He informed the House that 33/11kV Receiving Station Reshipora was recently augmented from 2x6.3 to 6.3 + 10 MVA while Receiving Station Landoora has been augmented from (1x6.3) MVA to (6.3+4) MVA. Besides, he informed that the augmentation of 33/11kV Receiving Station Arwani from (1x6.3) MVA to (2x6.3) MVA has also been sanctioned under PMDP (Rural). Deputy CM said that in addition 1x6.3 MVA Aglar Receiving Station and 1+6.3 MVA, 33/11kV Receiving Station at Trenz has been sanctioned under various schemes to resolve the power crises. Responding to the Calling Attention Notice by Aijaz Ahmad Mir, Deputy CM informed the House that additionally to improve power supply to Wachi Constituency; load of Kulgam District fed from Receiving Station Landoora has been shifted to newly constructed Receiving Station Behibagh. He also informed that as an interim relief to avoid overloading of Arwani Receiving Station, the installation of additional 4 MVA Transformer at the said receiving station for augmenting its capacity from (1x6.3) MVA to (6.3+4) MVA is under progress and transformer will be commissioned by end of this month.(KNO)
